Building Bulldogs for Life
Here at Kelmscott Baseball club, we believe in building and sustaining a pathway that encourages all players to continue with diamond sports beyond Teeball 💙
Starting at Teeball and progressing all the way into Seniors Baseball, we have created the KBC Pathway which is our recommended pathway for our Juniors.
Every child is different, and each pathway and the pace in which they advance in the sport is individual to the player. This pathway is a guide and we have created it to aid those who are curious about the next step in their child’s baseball journey!
We hope to provide inclusive and engaging programs that not only support children of all abilities, but also provide safe spaces for girls to play sports, as well as build a community that supports each other and create lifelong friendships ☺️

Teeball

Teeball is a modified game of Baseball where players hit the ball off of a tee instead of being pitched, focusing on fun and fundamental skills like hitting, running, and fielding without the pressure of a moving ball. We work on fundamental skills required for other forms of Junior Baseball with the aim of the players moving up into eventually Senior Baseball or Softball. We follow the 4 ‘F’s’ system which is Fun, Fair play, Fundamental Skills, and Family involvement as outlined by the TBAWA.
We are associated with Thornlie and Districts Teeball Association so our players get the opportunity to play against a variety of players of various skill levels!

Junior Baseball
Machine Pitch is the next step up into Junior Baseball from Teeball. It is a bridge between Baseball and Teeball, and puts the ball into motion by having it pitched to the batters from a machine instead of the players hitting off of a stationary tee like in Teeball. We continue to work on those fundamental skills explored in Teeball, as well as expanding on skills such as hand-eye coordination, reading the game, and more advanced fielding skills.

Little League is the beginning of Junior Baseball. It is a simplified game of Baseball and puts the ball into motion by having it pitched to the batters live from an opposing player. We continue to work on those fundamental skills explored in Teeball and Machine Pitch, as well as expanding on skills such as hand-eye coordination, reading the game, batting techniques, pitching and throwing mechanics, and more advanced skills required for the game.
The Kelmscott Bulldogs U16 Girls Baseball Program is a competitive and development-focused pathway exclusively for girls aged 13–16 who want to learn and play baseball in a supportive and inclusive environment. The program helps players build advanced skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, teamwork, leadership, and game awareness while providing opportunities to learn from experienced coaches and state-level representatives. As part of one of Western Australia’s strongest women’s baseball programs, players can develop their confidence, form lasting friendships, and progress through the club’s pathway toward senior women’s and elite-level baseball.

State Representatives
As a club, we love encouraging and supporting our Juniors who take an interest in playing at a higher skill level. Last season we had 5 amazing junior players to be selected as State Representatives for both Teeball and Little League.
We had 3 players, Patrick Trowbridge, Neathan Narkle, and Lucas Junior Lawrence, represent Thornlie Districts in State Teeball, who played in multiple carnivals across the second half of the season.

We also had two of our Junior girls, Arviriah and Zariah Stack, be selected for the West Coast Rays Little League Girls team, who represented the state in the Australian Little League Girls Championships over the July school holidays in Brisbane.
